Lily African Queen
Introduced in 1958, the rare and sweetly scented African Queen is a suffuse, warm apricot-melon with a variable light to deep coppery bronze-purple reverse. Heat tolerant and non-fading, it has large, exquisitely formed, slightly recurved, trumpet-shaped flowers that are graced with elegant, long anther-tipped filaments. The outside of each 6"- to 8"-long flower has narrow ridges of luminous green that accents both its coloration and form. Lily Class: Chinese Trumpet. Bulb size: 18/20 cm. July. HZ: 4-8. Height: 5' to 6'.
