The Make-A-Statement Special
It is so much fun to interplant unusual varieties of bulbs in perennial beds to surprise and delight clients at different moments in spring gardens. Deer- and rodent-resistant, Allium Ambassador, Allium siculum bulgaricum and Fritillaria persica are three of our favorite varieties to create structural interest and floral diversity.

- 5 Allium Ambassador: It has long-lasting, intensely purple, 7” composite globes. Bulb size: 20 cm/up. Bloom time: June/July. Horticultural zones 5-7. Height: 4’.
- 100 Allium siculum ssp. bulgaricum: The 1863 Sicilian Honey Lily has a top hat umbel of 2"-wide, greenish-white bell-shaped flowers flushed purple and edged in white. Bulb size: 8 cm/up. Bloom time: May/June. Horticultural zones 6-10. Height: 3’.
- 5 Fritillaria persica: The Persian Lily has a flowering raceme studded with variably compacted, pendant, bell-shaped blackish plum florets. Bulb size: 20 cm/up. Bloom time: April/May. Horticultural zones 4-8. Height: 2.5’.
