Tulip Flaming Purissima
This gorgeous variety is ivory to glistening white with an interior yellow center and rose feathering and flames that vary in combination and intensity as the blooms mature. No two are the same! It is wonderful paired with Albert Heijn and its sibling, Exotic Emperor. Tulip Class: Emperor. Bulb size: 12 cm/up. Mid-April. HZ: 3-8. Height: 16" to 18".

Early-blooming Emperor or Fosteriana Tulips descend from Tulipa fosteriana, a wild species from Central Asia. They are known for their remarkably huge flowers and bright colors. They are spectacular for colorful garden display and for bouquets. (Emperor Tulips Orange Emperor, White Emperor and Yellow Purissima bloom a bit later than the rest of the group.)
