Crocus chrysanthus Blue Marlin

It is pale lilac with exterior grape veins and striations and a lilac-white interior with a small golden-yellow center. Prolific Blue Marlin has graceful six-petaled, 4" tall flowers that open and close on sunny days. They luminously glow in spring sunlight, appearing more floriferous every day. It has a rather smooth (annulate) tunic, and grass-like foliage has narrow, median silvery stripes. Crocus Class: Species. Bulb size: 5 cm/up. Full to partial sunlight. Bloom time in horticultural zone 5: Late March/early April. Plant 4" deep and 3" to 4" apart. HZ: 4-8. Height: 4".
