Allium Summer Drummer

Introduced in 2006 by W. Mellema, Summer Drummer is the latest blooming and tallest of all Allium. It has large globes comprised of hundreds of star-shaped purple and white florets atop green stems that mature to garnet. Once the 8"-wide flowers fade, it’s dried seed pod orbs stand garden sentry in the most hauntingly beautiful way. It too is rabbit-, rodent- and deer-resistant and much loved by bees, butterflies and helpful pollinators. Bulb size: 12 cm/up. July/August. HZ: 4-8. Height: 48" to 60". We are very sorry, but due to state agricultural restrictions, we are not permitted to ship Allium bulbs to Idaho, or to the following five counties in the State of Washington: Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant and Klickitat.
