Allium Summer Drummer

Introduced in 2006 by W. Mellema, Summer Drummer is the latest blooming and tallest of all Allium. It has large globes comprised of hundreds of star-shaped purple and white florets atop green stems that mature to garnet. Once the 8"-wide flowers fade, it’s dried seed pod orbs stand garden sentry in the most hauntingly beautiful way. It too is rabbit-, rodent- and deer-resistant and much loved by bees, butterflies and helpful pollinators. Bulb size: 12 cm/up. July/August. HZ: 4-8. Height: 48" to 60". We are very sorry, but due to state agricultural restrictions, we are not permitted to ship Allium bulbs to Idaho or Oregon, or to the following five counties in the State of Washington: Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant and Klickitat.
