Allium schubertii Arctic Snow
The coveted white selection out of A. schubertii, The Tumbleweed Onion, it has airy, 12”-wide umbels of greenish-ivory buds that open white with green stripes and centers. Its bright green stems range from 1/2” to 8” long for the same delicate, feathery appearance as the original species. Long-lasting, it continues to look like garden fireworks as its flowers die back and knobby green seed pods develop. It is rabbit-, rodent- and deer-resistant, and adored by bees, butterflies and pollinators. It makes the most unusual and magnificent cut flower as well. Bulb size: 12/14 cm. Bloom time: May/June. Horticultural zones 5-8. Plant 6” to 8” deep and 8” to 10” apart. Height: 14” to 16”.
We are very sorry, but due to state agricultural restrictions, we are not permitted to ship Allium bulbs to Idaho, or to the following five counties in the State of Washington: Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant and Klickitat.
