Allium schubertii Arctic Snow

The coveted white selection out of A. schubertii, The Tumbleweed Onion, it has airy, 12”-wide umbels of greenish-ivory buds that open white with green stripes and centers. Its bright green stems range from 1/2” to 8” long for the same delicate, feathery appearance as the original species. Long-lasting, it continues to look like garden fireworks as its flowers die back and knobby green seed pods develop. It is rabbit-, rodent- and deer-resistant, and adored by bees, butterflies and pollinators. It makes the most unusual and magnificent cut flower as well. Bulb size: 12/14 cm. Bloom time: May/June. Horticultural zones 5-8. Plant 6” to 8” deep and 8” to 10” apart. Height: 14” to 16”. We are very sorry, but due to state agricultural restrictions, we are not permitted to ship Allium bulbs to Idaho or Oregon, or to the following five counties in the State of Washington: Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant and Klickitat.
