Allium cowanii

Related to A. neapolitanum, A. cowanii is a 1823 heirloom prized for its sprays of glistening white floral umbels. Each 2"-wide umbel is comprised of dozens of white florets adorned with ivory-green anthers and pale green eyes (ovaries). Long-lasting and rabbit-, rodent- and deer-resistant, it is ideal in full sun to partial shade, in densely planted borders and rock gardens, forced pots and bouquets. Bulb size: 5 cm/up. May. HZ: 6-9. Height: 16" to 24". We are very sorry, but due to state agricultural restrictions, we are not permitted to ship Allium bulbs to Idaho or Oregon, or to the following five counties in the State of Washington: Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant and Klickitat.
