Allium cowanii

Related to A. neapolitanum, A. cowanii is a 1823 heirloom prized for its sprays of glistening white floral umbels. Each 2"-wide umbel is comprised of dozens of white florets adorned with ivory-green anthers and pale green eyes (ovaries). Long-lasting and rabbit-, rodent- and deer-resistant, it is ideal in full sun to partial shade, in densely planted borders and rock gardens, forced pots and bouquets. Bulb size: 5 cm/up. May. HZ: 6-9. Height: 16" to 24". We are very sorry, but due to state agricultural restrictions, we are not permitted to ship Allium bulbs to Idaho, or to the following five counties in the State of Washington: Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant and Klickitat.
