Syn: Jacob's Ladder or the Sword Lily. Circa 1629, this hardy heirloom has dense spires of glowing, purple-red flowers, white-striped interiors above low growing, sword-like foliage. Fabulous for cutting gardens! Bulb size: 6 cm/up. May/June. Plant 6" deep and 6" apart. HZ: 5-9. Height: 16" to 24".
