Allium karataviense

Circa 1876, this low-growing, bee-loved heirloom has 5"-wide spheres of white florets with a pale purple-pink glow, darker midribs and broad, glaucous, blue-green foliage with thin red edges. Rabbit-, rodent- and deer-resistant, A. karativiense is terrific in mixed border plantings. It is one of the few Allium good for forcing. Bulb size: 12 cm/up. May/June. HZ: 5-9. Height: 8". We are very sorry, but due to state agricultural restrictions, we are not permitted to ship Allium bulbs to Idaho or Oregon, or to the following five counties in the State of Washington: Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant and Klickitat.
