Collection E: Blueberries and Cream Tulips

Shirley Negrita Purple Dream
Interplanting purple and purple/white bicolor Tulips is dramatic yet understated. From among the Triumph and Single Late classes, these varieties are stunning in symmetrical boxwood parterres as well as informal cottage gardens, clusters, and drifts. Shirley is a bit of a magician: she opens yellow with raspberry flames and matures to the most gorgeous ivory-white with ever changing flecks and flames of pale purple.

Estimated planting area: 50 square feet. Bulb size: 12 cm/up. Height: 18" to 24". Bloom time: April/May. Plant 6" to 8" deep and 6" apart. Horticultural zones: 3-7. Please note that our collections are shipped in mid-October. (Each variety's photo appears in order as listed from left to right and top to bottom.)
