Allium karataviense

Circa 1876, this low-growing, bee-loved heirloom has 5"-wide spheres of white florets with a pale purple-pink glow, darker midribs and broad, glaucous, blue-green foliage with thin red edges. Rabbit-, rodent- and deer-resistant, A. karativiense is terrific in mixed border plantings. It is one of the few Allium good for forcing. Bulb size: 12 cm/up. May/June. HZ: 5-9. Height: 8". We are very sorry, but due to state agricultural restrictions, we are not permitted to ship Allium bulbs to Idaho, or to the following five counties in the State of Washington: Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant and Klickitat.
